Gartner's BPM magic quadrant 2010

BPM vendors in 2010, in one blink: http://www.global360.com/download/mq/

Compare it with 2009 version:

No changes at the top - Pegasystems and Lombardi still in upper-left leader (visionary & able to execute).

BPMN 2.0 shapes added to Visio stencil!

Well ... couldn't sleep last night, so I dropped in some BPMN 2.0 shapes.

Plugin ver. 0.8 is now up-to-date with the OMG spec.

Download the BPMN 2.0 Visio stencil here.

Features: pure visual modelling, no process v&v, simulation and other burden.

If you use it, drop me some feedback!

Updated BPMN stencil for Visio

Dear all,

after a long time (almost three years), our stencil for drawing BPMN models in Visio has been slightly updated.

Quick changelog:
-There are connection placeholders on almost each shape,
-dataobject and events and xor gateway have bigger textboxes, to allow quicker modelling

After all these years and million process modelling tools in between, I still use it when the process model have to be created in a real time with the customer on the side.

Download it here (Sourceforge.net).

Have a nice day,

Tomi

BPM + Saas (Signavio)

Dear all,

even better solution for online process modelling: Signavio (http://www.signavio.com/en.html)
It allows collaboration work on a process models, in a real time. Can the process modelling get better than this?

Online process modelling with BPMN

Dear process modellers,

here is a great tool for process modelling in BPMN. You don't need to download any software, just use the web browser to access it: http://oryx-project.org/backend/poem/repository

For example, see the typical process model of lecturing: http://oryx-project.org/oryx/editor;bpmn#/model/631 and have fun.
